The camp has eight luxury en-suite tents built on wooden decks with superb views over the Zambezi River. In addition to the tents the camp boasts two luxury Zambezi suites catering for those who would like something really special. Whether fly-fishing, drifting or spinning Mwambashi is well equipped for tiger and bream fishing the waters surrounding the lodge. Chikwenya Island, a mere stones throw away from the lodge is renowned for the abundant large tiger fish caught in the area. When not fishing guests have the option of game viewing or bird watching in the 4000 square kilometre Lower Zambezi National Park. Canoe trips can be arranged for those who would prefer to explore the reserve from the waters of the Zambezi River. The superb fishing combined with the sheer wilderness of this camp offers the comforts and experience sure to awaken and nourish the soul. Mwambashi’s sister lodge, Royal Zambezi Lodge is another outstanding lodge 30 kilometres up river from Mwambasi. A trip incorporating both lodges would be ideal for a fishing – game safari.  The lodge opens in mid April to Mid November each year.
