Chitwa Chitwa is a private game reserve situated in the exclusive Sabi Sand Game Reserve and forming part of the Kruger National Park in South Africa. The lodge looks out over one of the reserve's largest lakes which attracts the ever present wildlife, including the Big Five. The magnificent bar and lounge area melts into the surrounding trees, rendering you invisible to the game gathering on the open plain in the evening. At Chitwa Citwa the meals are as much a social feast as a culinary one, savouring the combination of African and Mediterranean dishes, accompanied by the select wines from the extensive cellar. Hidden among the lush gardens and looking out over the lake are the individually crafted chalets that exude an air of romance and adventure. Game drives are done in an open topped Land Rover and guided by rangers whose passion for the area is infectious. Cost: U.S $450.00 to $ 600.00 per person sharing / day.
